Trend Micro x Elliot’s

The Need

Trend Micro, a leader in cloud and enterprise cybersecurity, was doing their annual planning for their most important marketing events of the year across three major international tech conferences:

  • AI EXPO – Focused on AI applications and technologies for businesses and leaders.
  • CyberSec – Asia’s premier cybersecurity event and networking platform, bringing together global cybersecurity leaders, enterprises, and professionals.
  • COMPUTEX – One of the largest computer and technology trade shows in the world.

With AI being the buzz word of the entire technology world, Trend Micro’s marketing leaders wanted to find a partner that would not only help them to stand out at the expo and conference events, but align with and emphasize the AI theme. Their goal: attract foot traffic, spark conversation, and deliver a memorable brand experience that aligned with their identity. Their timeline was very tight, and they needed a solution that was both unique and turnkey.

In addition to AI generated ice cream flavor ideas and recipes, Trend Micro also wanted the custom flavors to match their brand colors: white, black, and red.

Using Elliot’s AI, we quickly brainstormed and developed three custom flavors that aligned with Trend Micro’s brand requirements and also incorporated local Taiwan ingredients and flavors:

  • Douhua Tofu Pudding (white) – This unique vegan ice cream combines the tender and delicate creaminess of Taiwan’s classic tofu dessert with swirls of black sugar syrup with a subtle ginger kick. Each bite is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation, offering a uniquely refined and layered experience.
  • Black Sesame (black) – Experience the deep, nutty richness of premium Taiwanese black sesame, perfectly balanced with a light, creamy texture for an ice cream that lets the profound, roasted flavor of the sesame truly shine without being overly sweet
  • Red Guava (red) – We made our Red Guava flavor extra red using natural ingredients to match Trend Micro’s brand color. This Red Guava flavor was created as an Italian-style gelato in order to highlight the subtle sweetness of red guava.

This partnership not only highlights Elliot’s AI ability to quickly develop new custom flavors, but also our ability to turn brand identity into a unique, memorable ice cream experience.

The ice creams were served from an on-site, co-branded Elliot’s cart, turning the Trend Micro booth into an engaging sensory hub that combined taste, color, and technology. We also provided Trend Micro branded spoons to complete the experience.

We delivered over 10,000 individual cups of ice cream over the three events. Trend Micro drew thousands of visitors and KOL influencers to the their booths, many of whom shared the ice cream experience on Instagram and YouTube. Due to the high demand for Elliot’s ice cream, we helped Trend Micro restock multiple times throughout the events.
