The Need

AllSaints, a British fashion retailer known for its edgy and modern aesthetic, was planning the grand opening of its newest location inside Breeze Nanshan in Taipei’s Xinyi District. To celebrate the opening, they wanted to host a special event for their VIP guests and influencers, as well as run a unique giveaway promotion to welcome customers during the first month of the grand opening.

AllSaints first began discussing with another ice cream vendor; however that vendor was unable to create a custom flavor and provide an ice cream cart within the timeframe that AllSaints required.

How Elliot’s helped

Fast custom ice cream development and high-quality small batch production

The AllSaints team wanted an ice cream that fully represented their brand in terms of look, flavor, and experience. For the appearance, a dark grey or black color to match the AllSaints brand colors. For the flavor, something edgy, against the grain, rebellious. For the experience, a full, creamy texture that represents high quality.

Elliot’s worked with the AllSaints marketing and PR teams to design a black chocolate rum ice cream. The process from concept to production took 3 business days.

For the rum, we selected the award-winning Selvarey Rum, which is backed by Jay Chou and Bruno Mars. Its flavor delivers smooth complexity, blending subtle notes of chocolate, caramel, and vanilla into the creamy American-style ice cream base. Each bite brings the warmth of tropical flavors with a sophisticated finish.

For the black color, we used small amount of activated charcoal, which comes with a number of health benefits, including helping digestive health, promoting kidney health, and lowering cholesterol levels.

To store the ice cream and provide a spot for photo opportunities, AllSaints chose our compact ice cream cart with brand collaboration styling. We also created custom spoons and cups with AllSaints x Elliot’s collaboration branding.

AllSaints wanted to use scooping for a more interactive, more personal ice cream experience, so we also provided scoop training for their event and store staff.
